Are these apps free?

Yes. The desktop apps are free to download and use.

Do I need Python or R installed?

No. PyBibX Desktop includes what it needs to run PyBibX. Bibliometrix Desktop includes what it needs to run Bibliometrix / Biblioshiny.

Windows blocked the installer. Is that safe?

SmartScreen often warns about unsigned open-source installers. Click 'More info' then 'Run anyway'.
